Establish a support system
Therapy is a great way to rebuild your emotional health
Emotional health is a fundamental part of your overall wellbeing. One way to maintain your emotional health is to have a stable support system, and see a therapist on a regular basis. It’s normal to have anxiety and stress but having a strong support system makes everyday challenges a little easier.

About Maren Londahl-Smidt, LCSW, LCAS
Helping others discover their journey to happiness.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with more than 8 years of experience. I have lived in North Carolina my entire life gaining experiences in medical settings, outpatient therapy, and community mental health. Through these experiences, I have worked with many populations in various walks of life. I provide therapy services to ages 12 and up, specializing in anxiety, stress management, parenting support with a focus on attachment, and building confidence. My approach to therapy is client-centered and strengths based, which I borrow from many different perspectives with the goal of understanding your individual needs. I utilize a variety of approaches to meet your needs such as Attachment Based, Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy, Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP) Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Relaxation Training. I hold a Masters of Social Work from North Carolina State University and a Masters in Service Agency Counseling from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. I chose to become a therapist because I wanted to help others find the best version of themselves through all parts of their health. Yes! I fell down and took the long, windy road that led me here. Now I get to use the skills I learned along the way to help others figure out what isn’t working for them, and how to deal with their current situation. In my free time, I enjoy riding and showing horses, dogs, running, traveling, and live music. I’m also a diehard Wolfpack fan!
